Ardha chandrasana vs. Virabhdrasana 3 Yoga poses
Ardha Chandrasana is sanskrit for Half moon pose. Virabhdrasana is sanskrit for Warrior pose, in this case this was the third variation of warrior.
These poses although they look similarly and have the same benefits one the first platform of our body (the feet), it differs structurally in the second (hips) and third (shoulders) platforms of the body. This video will teach you the difference between those platforms in the body so you can practice these poses safely.
As you begin practicing this, feel free to use blocks or the support of the wall as your muscle memory grows so that you can do it independently.

Tree pose is often times the most well known yoga pose, may that be due to its simplicity or the reminder that it creates for us connecting us back to our source.
It is a standing pose that helps increase balance and strength in the standing leg. If you use the rooting technique in the standing foot it helps elevate the arches of your foot which will help structurally in your body with all things in life from walking, to correcting your posture, and so on.

Iyengar was born as the 11th child of 13, however 3 passed away due to these times being plagued by the influenza virus. Iyengar himself, had been exposed to many major illness in his youth leaving him very sickly with muscle deterioration, so much so that his head hung low requiring great effort in lifting it. Thanks to his cousin he started practicing the different yoga asanas in a 15 day intensive and felt like that had changed his whole life making him into the great man and teacher he became!
This video shows the first sequence that can be found in one of his books the Light on Yoga, which is a book i consider to be the holy grail of asanas. If you enjoy the sequence, or want to improve your practice his step-by-step cues to getting in and out of poses safely are straight forward and extensive, then you can continue one with the other sequences found in the glossary. they continuously build upon one another strengthenig your body.
